The original NOMEN Cleat I is a patented folding mooring cleat that combines the strength and rigidity of a conventional cleat with the clean aesthetics of a flush deck fitting.Its unique folding mechanism allows the cleat arms to lock securely into both open and closed positions. An elastic ball positioned between the arms responds to tension, providing a smooth and controlled locking action.When folded flush with the deck, the NOMEN Cleat helps prevent loose lines from becoming caught during manoeuvring while reducing the risk of injury from protruding deck hardware. The NOMEN Cleat II, also known as the NOMEN CLIP Cleat, takes the concept further with an intuitive design that allows mooring lines to be wound around the rigid section of the cleat without activating the folding mechanism.Rounded rotary end pieces keep the cleat securely closed while maintaining the clean, minimalist appearance that defines NOMEN.Available in polished stainless steel or anodised aluminium in silver or black, the NOMEN CLIP Cleat combines practical functionality with outstanding design. The NOMEN Cleat III represents the latest evolution of the original NOMEN Cleat.With a more slender geometry and an optimised single-hand folding mechanism, Cleat III delivers a contemporary appearance while using less material and reducing product weight by up to 30%.Despite its lighter construction, the cleat maintains excellent holding strength and the robust performance expected from NOMEN.Installation and upgrading have also been carefully considered. Customisable fastening hole positions can be adapted to match those of other cleat brands, making it easier to switch to NOMEN or upgrade from an earlier model without the need to drill new holes in the deck.
