IMP Supplies Ronstan Hardware to Blokart Sailing in Weston-super-Mare
IMP is proud to support Blokart sailing in Weston-super-Mare by supplying high-quality Ronstan hardware used across their land sailing fleet.

Blokart sailing is an exciting form of land sailing that uses a compact, one-design, three-wheel kart powered by a sail. Sail sizes vary depending on wind conditions and the experience of the sailor, making the sport accessible to beginners while still offering performance for experienced racers. Enjoyed year-round by participants aged 8 to 80, Blokart sailing provides fun and adventure for the whole family.
Designed with portability in mind, a Blokart can be quickly dismantled and packed into a tailored carry bag that fits into the boot of most cars, weighing approximately 30kg. Its simple setup, ease of learning, and strong safety focus make it ideal for both leisure and competitive sailing.
Blokarts are sailed recreationally on beaches, gravel, grass, and other flat surfaces worldwide. At the same time, competitive racing continues to grow internationally, with organised events including national championships and a biennial World Championship. The Blokart land sailor is a popular one-design class manufactured by New Zealand-based Blokart International Ltd.
Ronstan components play an important role in performance and reliability. Blokarts are fitted as standard with Ronstan RF30101 blocks on all sails from manufacture, while many sailors also choose the RF56100 ratchet block as their preferred sheet block. Ronstan Sticky Race Gloves are widely used for enhanced grip and comfort, and the downhaul/kicker system typically combines RF20332 and RF20302 components. Various sizes of Ronstan C-Cleats are also used throughout the setup.
The British and World Championships will take place this September, highlighting the continued growth and competitive spirit of the sport.
