CNT Technology
LED is the light source of the future; Architects, Designers and Yacht Owners are increasingly asking for this new application. In order to fully use the potential of this light source and adapt it to the necessities of the marine industry, Cantalupi Lighting has heavily invested in its internal R&D department by creating its own technology, CNT Technology, for the design of lenses and reflectors. This technology allows to produce optics that can maximise and control the light produced by LEDs. Therefore, the added-value of CNT Technology lies in the ability to control the diffusion of light produced by LED products. Cantalupi Lighting can now produce LED illumination with the desired beam of light: from a tight to a wide angle by correcting the initial ray emitted by LEDs. This technology has therefore permitted us to develop and manufacture LED products with angles of light diffusion and illuminating power similar to those of traditional halogen lamps.
Additionally, considerable thought and resources have been used in order to power the LED correctly whilst obtaining maximum light output, full life expectancy and reducing heat build up from the electronic board.
Powering LED
All LED manufacturers offer technical information on the most efficient means of powering and cooling their product. Using this critical data and employing the services of the Cantalupi Electrical Division, Cantalupi are able to build specific electronic boards that meet this criteria.
Reducing the heat produced from the LED and electronic board is also a critical factor for obtaing reliability in LED products. By developing thier own heat cink, Cantalupi are able to obtain maximum life expectancy of the LED, minimal heat heat build up and most importantly maximum light output.
