Exit Boxes

For leading halyards or control lines internally, Schaefer's exit boxes with Stainless Steel
construction, Aluminum sheaves and Stainless Steel spacers handle high static halyard and reefing loads. The front of the cage is flared to fit curved mast sections with an approximate 3” radius.

Exit Plates

Providing a smooth entry and exit for your halyards or control lines is easy with our Stainless Steel exit plates carefully sculpted to eliminate line chafe and wear.

Fixed Fairlead Blocks

Extremely low profile keeps control lines and halyards close to the deck. Open ball bearing race design guarantees low friction and easy maintenance. Cheeks are constructed of tumbled and polished Stainless Steel for strength and durability.

Halyard Lifts

Leads external halyards, topping lifts and control lines aft from mast base. Block is mounted to bisect halyard load angle for maximum tensile strength. Delrin™ sheaves, for line halyards, contain UV inhibiting additives to protect the sheave from the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun. Aluminum sheaves accommodate both line and wire, providing a gentle surface for line and full wire support to prevent flattening.

Hinged Fairlead Blocks

Designed for mounting on spars or on deck, our Hinged Fairlead Blocks adjust to variable halyard and control line angles to provide a proper lead. Low-Friction Delrin™ Ball Bearing sheaves allow for smooth operation under load.

Stand Up Swivels

Excellent for fixed position halyard or control line fairleads. Block swivels 360°, tilts in all directions and is supported by a heavy gauge S.S. spring to prevent deck contact. Large diameter base helps distribute loads to a larger surface area than other smaller designs. We also include a plastic base for easy mounting and offer backing plates for every model.

Half-Moon Lead Blocks

This rugged, ”offshore”design provides a low winch lead while spreading sheet loads over several track fasteners for maximum strength. Set pin location in the center of the block prevents snagging and accidental release. Designed to articulate up to 45° to either side of the track, Half-Moon lead blocks are often used to provide a proper lead angle to foot or turning blocks near the cockpit. Stainless, bolted construction provides a brilliant finish, and allows complete disassembly for inspection or maintenance.

Isomat

Removable ferrule head allows these low profile ”Utility Blocks” to be mounted anywhere for extremely low line leads. Use wherever regular shackle head design may interfere with line leads. Offered in brilliant Stainless, or tough Hardcoat Anodized versions with Delrin™ or aluminum sheaves.

Cheek Blocks

Flat Base Cheek Blocks

Flat, stainless base plate distributes loads to a larger surface area than other designs that place loads on mounting bolts only. Use on spars and deck to lead sheets, halyards, reefing gear, and any control requiring a strong, smooth lead.

Cheek Block Pad

Shaped to fit most common spar sections, these convenient pads allow quick and easy mounting on masts or booms. Made of UV Treated Molded PVC with the ability to withstand extreme compression loads and temperature ranges without distortion.

Curved Base Cheek Blocks

Unique curved base plate fits up to 2” (51mm) dia. spar section for easy mounting. Excellent for control line leads on dinghys and small daysailors.

Bullseye

Schaefer Bulls Eyes are ideal for directing lines along the deck.

Over the Top Blocks

Designed to bring control lines over the forward edge of cabin houses, coamings or rails. Perfect for Raised Salon designs. Low Friction ball bearing sheaves lead lines easily.

Thru Deck Leads

Injection molded plastic fairleads allow easy and smooth line leads.

Cam Cleats/Swivel Cam Bases

Schaefer’s ”Sure-Grip” Cam Cleats are made from investment cast stainless steel that won’t wear out or corrode. Similar competitor designs use either plastic composites which can dull as a result of heat buildup, or die cast aluminum which has a higher potential for corrosion. Our computer designed flared jaws allow lines to ”drop in” without pulling for quick engagement and release while the open top and removable fasteners allow flushing and disassembly for easy maintenance.

Schaefer’s Swivel Cam Base allows easy cleating from almost any angle. Our stainless arm swivel base is ideal for dinghys or daysailors containing our small sure grip cam, mounting eye strap and plastic bullseye.
